Sun Valley founder, Jim Hacking, spotting a post-war demand for tasty snacks, started roasting and bagging peanuts for local pubs from his kitchen in Blackpool.

Adopting the wholesome name “Sun Valley” in 1949, from these humble origins Sun Valley grew to be one of the biggest nut suppliers in the country, whilst always retaining the craft approach and expertise of those early years.

In 2021 Sun Valley became part of the Zertus UK & Ireland, bringing together the UKs premier nut snacking experts.
